Terms of Service
Welcome to JobMonkey Go ("JMG", "Platform", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the JMG app and services. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who We Are and Our Role
JMG operates an online marketplace that connects people who need tasks done ("BOSSES") with people willing to do tasks ("JOBBERS"). We are only an intermediary platform. We do not:
- Employ JOBBERS or act as their employer/agent
- Provide tasks or guarantee task quality/safety
- Handle payments between BOSSES and JOBBERS
- Supervise, control, or insure any work performed
BOSSES and JOBBERS contract directly with each other. All disputes must be resolved between them.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18+ and legally able to enter contracts in Hong Kong to use JMG.
3. What JMG Is NOT - No Employment or Job Board
JMG is NOT:
- A job board, recruitment agency, or employment service
- For posting employment positions, full-time/part-time jobs, or ongoing salaried work
- An employment relationship between JMG and JOBBERS (or BOSSES)
Employment-style postings are prohibited, including:
- Jobs with fixed salaries/wages, regular hours, or ongoing employment
- Positions requiring Employment Ordinance benefits (MPF, paid leave, notice periods)
- Work where BOSS controls JOBBER's schedule/methods like an employer
All tasks must be one-off, project-based services where:
- JOBBERS are independent contractors/self-employed
- BOSSES and JOBBERS negotiate per-task fees directly
- No employment relationship exists
We reserve the right to remove employment-style postings and suspend accounts posting them.
4. Your Responsibilities
As a BOSS, you are responsible for:
- Confirming tasks are one-off services, NOT employment
- Task descriptions being accurate, legal, and safe
- Paying JOBBERS as agreed
- Task legality under Hong Kong law
- JOBBER safety and any equipment needed
As a JOBBER, you are responsible for:
- Treating all work as independent contracting, NOT employment
- Having required skills/qualifications for tasks
- Complying with all laws and safety standards
- Performing work as agreed with BOSS
- Reporting unsafe/illegal tasks to us immediately
5. Prohibited Tasks and Conduct
Prohibited tasks include (non-exhaustive):
- Employment positions, job advertisements, or recruitment services
- Illegal activities
- Professional services requiring licenses (doctor, lawyer, electrician without license)
- Dangerous work without proper safety measures
- Fraud, harassment, discrimination
- Adult services, weapons, drugs, stolen goods
Prohibited conduct:
- Fake accounts or listings
- Harassment or abuse
- Posting others' personal info without consent
- Commercial spam or advertising
We may remove content, suspend accounts, or report illegal activity to authorities at our discretion.
6. User Content and Communications
- You own content you post but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to operate the Platform
- Messages between BOSSES/JOBBERS are your responsibility
- We are not party to your agreements or communications
- Keep chat logs for disputes - we don't mediate payment/work quality issues
7. No Warranties
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS". We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:
- Task completion or quality
- JOBBER skills or reliability
- BOSS payment or fairness
- Platform availability (we may do maintenance)
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY HONG KONG LAW:
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO HKD 100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (WHICHEVER IS LESS).
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR personal injury, property damage, or economic loss from tasks.
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR your dealings with other users.
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR third-party sites/services.
Some liabilities (like death/personal injury from gross negligence) cannot be excluded by law.
9. Termination
- You can delete your account anytime (Settings > Delete Account)
- We may suspend/terminate for violations, with or without notice
- Sections 3-12 survive termination
10. Dispute Resolution
- These Terms governed by Hong Kong law
- Disputes resolved in Hong Kong courts

11. Changes to Terms
We'll notify material changes via email or in-app. Continued use = acceptance.
